There are always options

There are always options

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Sometimes,
you just have to be creative.

The easiest solution isn't always the best.

Take weeds for instance.
Honestly, I grow tired of them.

I could use one of the high concentrate methods.
  Kill a few bees,
and let it progress among the wildlife.

Probably tipped my hand on how this would continue.

For one thing,
 I like honey.
As long as they do not choose to attack,
I will let the flowers grow.
It gives me an excuse.
 Yardwork can be a pain.

Now,
I don't want to kill the dogs,
and even though the stray cats are a pain,
    I don't wish them ill.

So I track down a concoction.

Three ingredients,
and one even acts as a fertilizer,
while wiping out the pesky weeds.

Now,
if I could do the same for my writing.
