The Village.A Poem by Juelz
Listen,
I hear the tom tom drums. They all move closer. Listen, I hear the laughter, I feel the joy. They sway to the lovely beat, they dance to the sound the love most. I hear the heart beats racing. It is that season again, When they define men from boys. You can feel their apprehension. The girls giggle, Their skin so moist and tender. So chocolate. Everyone wants to be chosen, Everyone wants to be the definition of beauty. Ooh, what a small village. The men wrestle and flex, The smell of sweat in the air, Yes! they are the kings of the jungle. The village is filled with dance, Parents hold their heads up high. "My child shall conquer this" Juelz © 2011 Juelz |
