The night released it hold - Julius Fann, JrA Poem by jufa I woke while still under the influence of the nights still lingering embrace, Firm and relenting was the nights grip. As my eyelids parted one another and the dawn cast a sparkle in my eyes, it whispered softly, "I Am Here." Slowly, the night released me into the awareness of Spirit's tender embrace of the sunrise. I felt my heart being lifted as the light from the East gently pushed itself up through, the shadows of the blossom from where I had been to the clarity of where I now stand. The Sun rose from the navel of night's belly, pouring unconditioned love into the core of who I am, who I’ve always been, and who I’ll always be. Where darkness once enveloped me in its grasp, the radiance of the rising Son banished it; commanding light to shine out of the darkness. Shadows, myths, symbols and midwife tales and superstitions dissolved, unraveling from every fiber of my being. I awakened to the fullness of the day of Being that lay before me.
