This is the death each individual must die in order to follow Christ. Everything learned man must unlearn. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

Truth is hard but just. What is hard? it demands obedience to face the reality of oneself, to become responsible and courageous enough to step out of time to "die for my sake," and walk the hope of faith by example to change the world for good not just oneself, but all mankind.

No one has to seek God in order to perform and accomplish this task, God is there where a man stands, and "he performeth the thing that is appointed for me, and many such things are with him." - Job 23:14.

All a man has to do is be a beholder of Life without putting his interpreted identifiable conditions on living that Life. If a man wavers not from this stand, this position, this decision to be a beholder of Life without his conditions on living that life, he will realize no battle is his. And he will find "the path of the just is like the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."

I don't think pontificating and making up things as you go is all that Christlike.

I give up. What’s a thought attachment? And...given that everything that happens is supposed t be part of God’s plan, any thought we have is the result of God’s plan or, the free will that HE ordains that we have.

And of course, you point to nothing in the scriptures that supports that idea.

Doing my experience and walk I have found one does not have to shout, you just need not bow. That communication in silence is not submission. Confuse the two and history will erase you.

The crux of making statements without projecting a concept is no one can erase you, you do that to yourself.

My point is that you should seek therapy to deal with anger and bullying issues. Just because you are old and sundowning is not an excuse. Get help. You will feel better and the people around you will feel better. Do you really think your family is a big fan of this personality disorder of yours? Spoiler alert - they are not. Lastly The cross and the lynching tree phase is taken the late James Cone, but the reaiity of this statemen comes from 1 Peter 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree (emphasis mine), that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

What I have presented is a non-fiction story that can be read in the New Testament. The story of Easter is there. The story of the trial of persecution and death on the tree is there. And surely you have heard of the story of Christmas found there also.
