Food has its hues

Food has its hues

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)

Purple blueberry sodas
Red strawberry vodka
Green sublime pacific island limes
Yellow fresh lemon pure juice
Blue jelly gently wobbles
Pink marshmallow sweetly melts in mouth
Brown cocoa in coffee and chocolate milkshakes
White vanilla in nannas icings
Orange hue in ripe mango sweet
Red tomatoes Vine ripened
Black strong coffee nothing added
Grey tea leaves ready to brew
Who would of thought
Of colours
A genius did
to tempt us to food

Turquoise! You forgot turquoise, my favourite colour!
But what a lovely poem you have written. Gave my taste buds and brain cells a lovely treat.
