CemeteryA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)On life death etc journey
It's the midnight hour
It's that crazy moon It's rising high It's over the rolling dune It's the shadows that I See It's the cemetery I'm alone just me It's the place I'd rather not to be It's my destiny And has been forevermore It's what lies in store It's dark at midnight hour I wonder where the spirits go I see them high and higher they must go The graves the cemetery They dwell no longer there They already climbed the steep winding stair And that's why I don't visit here My family they no longer there They left a calling card For me I see on some Lonely marble grave site see It says I came here long ago And in my footsteps you will go My trail is not so easy just you see There are no stop signs Or speed humps here Just a one way ticket That'll get you there No return fare to homes we know All our blessed families miss us so So be ready It'll happen long before you know To take this hike So get that compass set up right Cos east means west And north will take you Way down south It's so confusing So better get ready Get things right With your own destiny In sight © 2017 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Reviews
