catalogue girl

catalogue girl

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
"

writing as I go

"
catalogue girl
where is your twirl
catwalk girl
where is your picture
photograph man
where is your heart
please be kind
and take me
mould me
straighten my picture
tighten my curls
pounce my lips
gentle my hips
give me blue eyes
even though they are brown
blush where I need it
highlight my bones
lighten my load
and keep me at negatives distance
I'm catalogue girl
just a pearl in your crown
I'm catwalk girl
just a pawn in your collection
catalogue and catwalk girl
we have to make the crowds swirl

The sad reality of our society. So much pressure put on girls to be a certain way. It makes so many girls feel self conscious for being the way they are.

Thanks for stopping by
I'm sure some of us can relate to this
the fashion industry is so skinny orientated
perfection is unrealistic
