HeartA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)As I go
Trees sway
Leaves twinkle Wind rages up the trunks Who is master of this tree Where does it’s bosom lie Where’s its heart and soul I ask ? As leaves fall crumpled up to dry The kookaburra knows it’s mood And magpie and koala bear Know just when it’s time to leap Or fly From branch to branch As it swiftly. Sways way up yonder high I know for sure It’s heart is in our land Our beloved sand and soil On which our nation thrives © 2018 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere) |
