A Silent Tear

I tell the world that it’s ok

I tell the world that it’s alright

I tell the world that I’m fine

But when the sun goes down

and the moon comes up

I sit alone in the dark and shed a silent tear

because it’s not ok

it’s not alright

I’m not fine

But when the sun comes up

And the stars go down

I put on a fake smile

Show the world the show

That I have rehearsed so many times in my head

I say I’m ok

I say it doesn't hurt

I say i really don’t care

But I’m not ok

It does hurt

I really really care

And when the sun goes down

and the moon comes up

I sit alone in the dark and shed a silent tear

because it’s not ok
