goblins are fairies, too

goblins are fairies, too

A Poem by Juni Parks
"

And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor Shall be lifted¡nevermore! Edgar Allan Poe

"
Some years ago, I don't really remember when
I met a fellow, always dressed in yellow, who became a friend

I thought him a good man all of the time of every day
but heard, at night, he was something else on Marigold Way

Too many whispers in that small town about my lone friend Bill
Says he strutted late night under street lights on Daffodil Hill

I remember someone threw an ashtray, at the Mayflower Cafe
It's where the manly goblins go for coffee and souffle

A little squabble spun around the goblin chairs and table
squawking about 'behind the livery stable' and a 'jumper cable'

A goblin with the most hate, slammed his fist near his plate
Too loudly said he, 'Lets us be there, lying in wait'

Early the next day near the Yellow Daisy outside of town
A fellow all in yellow was found, in a pond, floating upside down
