beauty in just being

I'm a fan of just being-

like the fields, skies,

and seas in different states and colors.

the sun's gentle touch on your skin.

the ocean simply being itself; the waves,

the smell of sand. the earth's breath,

the kiss of rain, the greens-their leaves

dancing in harmony. the birds chirping,

their song soothing your ears.

a person walking, smiling, laughing,

reading, minding their own business-just being.

so many beautiful things to see-

the ones that don't really ask for attention,

the little things that aren't little.

the just being, it's something that really stays with me.
