Our Beginning

Our Beginning

A Poem by jusstuf
"

Quadruple nonet

"
After getting my Starbucks coffee,
I turn and bump into someone.
trying to apologize,
I can't get the words out.
"Cat got your tongue, huh?"
She says smiling.
"Uh, sorry!"
I'm beet
red.
She
sees this
and then says,
"In a hurry?"
I reply, "I'm free!"
"I'm Susan, and you are?"
"Jim. It is a pleasure to
meet you. Will you join me Susan?
Unless you have somewhere else to be?"
"I will be blunt Jimmy, black coffee!"
She says with this wry smile of hers.
Her beauty makes me stammer!
"Jimmy, let's go outdoors
and enjoy the sun!"
We stroll along
arm in arm
through the
park.
"Please
Susan
may I ask?
Are you involved?"
"Jimmy, no I'm not.
Why are you asking this?"
"I want to know you better.
More than just having a coffee!"
"Jimmy, I am glad you have said this!"
