Why We Collided

Just some unrhymed free verse

I was out on my personal moon beam.

Minding my business, enjoying the sights,

when something or someone banged into me

which nearly sent me tumbling into eternity.

Someone grabs me, pulled me back on my ride.

I turn to see this beautiful smiling woman.

"Sorry Jimmy, I was watching you and I wanted

to get your attention! My name is Susan, she hugs me!"

I hug her back and ask, "How did you know my name Susan?"

"Because I want to be your friend to open the door to your heart!"

"But why? This is how I protect it to ensure it's safety."

"I know your heart and in there is a true romantic!"

"How can I be a romantic when I have no one to romance?"

"Well Jimmy , you have one now! Me, because I see how you write,

and now, we can share our thoughts about us becoming friends!

Then, we will become great and loving SOULMATES, forever!"

I look into her piercing blue eyes to see the honesty in her words!

Deciding to give her my heart to hold, caress and ultimately protect.

"Susan, prepare to receive romantic poetry that will make

your heart melt to give you feelings of great worthiness each day!"

"OMG Jimmy, you are going to spoil me, aren't you?" I nod yes!

"Blues, we need to strap ourselves in for these great rides we

going to go on! Hold tight and never let go, cause i never want to lose you!"

"Jimmy, let us explore our minds, souls and our heart for an eternity!"

This is kind of how we met six weeks ago. Susan has changed me and my world for the good!
