Sometimes...A Poem by Warlord KittenSometimes I wonder... If keeping the peace was worth it If that peace was for everyone
I didn't want to keep hearing those arguemetns or see my mother's tears
I didn't want to feel helpless As i forced my dry red eyes to sleep
I didn't want to confuse the little eyes that saw but didn't understand
Now, I heat up the arguements and walk on my mother's lonely tears
Now, I don't feel anything as I Exhaust myself to sleep
Now, the little eyes cry so much That they don't want to see
Is this really peace or just a tense neutrality?
Is there really such a thing as peace, love, and the pursuit of happiness?
Sometimes I wonder...
