EmptyA Poem by Warlord Kittena revised verison of another 4 year old poemI went through my things one day and found photographs of you In each one, I'm near you but not next to you I look at those eyes of yours Those beautiful eyes of yours Those blank eyes of yours My hands began to tremble Was that what they always were? Always empty? Just smiling for the sake of it? Is it the same with other things? Is money as empty as your eyes? As blank as the depths of your glossy irises? What about fame? Are those bright lights that burn when they touch your skin, as bottomless and unforfilled as those gorgous jewels called your eyes? As I put the pictures away, I noticed something that shocked me. My eyes were as blank as yours. © 2008 Warlord KittenReviews
