Sunlight and Moonbeams

Sunlight and Moonbeams

A Poem by Warlord Kitten
"

another old poem

"

Some believe in dreams and miracles
While others in darkness and Death.

One is as white as Moonbeams,
The other as black as the thickest smoke.

One smiles during hardships,

Waiting for peace,

while the other, Dripping in sticky scarlet,

wailing over a shattered love

Some wait impatiently for sunrise,

Overjoyed to be Engulfed by sunlight

And the others watches for nightfall,

longing to bathe in sweet moonbeams and bitter darkness

They dance with rose petals

while those who cry, swim in thorns.

Why cry when you can Smile?

Why wail when you can laugh?
Why moonbeams instead of sunlight?
Why pain when there is hope?

Beautiful poem, wiith an idea Ihave expressed in a couple of my poems, and yours is written with great description, painting a wonderful picture in a fantasy way. I like how you break up the stanzas and allow for an easy read. good job.
