"i cry at night"

"i cry at night"

A Poem by Prose-full

I cry..

streams and rivers

i cry..

fears and aches

I cry..

for the abused and dieing...

at night

when the world is still.

i pray

for shading of the sun..

i pray

for the dimming of the moon..

...and i pray

for stillness

of mankind for mankind...

and that mostly happens..

at night

when heavy and needing rest...

but..

if a tear happens to fall

...

for the burdened

for the depressed man,

for the starving child,

for the drunk on the corner..

i will pray for night fall...

so that that man

that child

that woman

can sleep...

.....at night

i agree with the ones below..this was deep..i felt your emotion..i felt that you may have been sad from the things that you witness..our environments always have an effect on us..i thought i was the only one who did things like this...lol it is nice to know that i am not the only one..When i see a homeless person, or just a person that looks sad..like have a lot on their mind..i always send a prayer up for them..i usually just close my eyes and whisper 'God Bless..' i know its not much but i believe that all prayers are answered no matter how big or small..some people call me too carrying but i dont think i am i think that some things just sit heavy on my heart..i cry too much during movies..i am extremly saddened by the hardships of poverty..amd i hate to see a lonely child cry..lol so i guess if that makes me too carrying then i just have to embrace that title with open arms..i appreciated this read for its honesty and for your true feelings..great write..

Real deep. It makes you think about what is going on today in the world, in our society, even in our community and culture. Good job!

A poem where you aren't afraid to admit you cry. Shows you have feelings, remorse, empathy, and care. I see sincerity in people when they are willing to open up their heart and express them. Your poem is somewhat like a song, not forced, just easy flowing.
