born outta time

born outta time

A Poem by justin bluebuds

born the wrong side of the century
the boy with the broken heart
take him back, take him back, back where he belongs,
where it begins, summer winds, whisky stills and oldtime songs, take him back
where he belongs, in the days before all our rowdy ways,
in the songs, folk from the hills, wispy clouds and whiperwills,
take him back

born the wrongs side of the fifties,
the boy with a broken heart,
take him back, take him back, back where he belongs,
where it begins, summer winds, whiskey stills and old time songs, take him back,
where he belongs, in the songs, of an old forgotten way,
in his heart lie weary tunes, the fiddle under the blue moon,
take him back

I understand this poem. I feel I was born in the wrong century sometimes. I like the way you led the reader into thoughts and places.
"take him back, take him back, back where he belongs,
where it begins, summer winds, whiskey stills and old time songs, take him back,
where he belongs, in the songs, of an old forgotten way, "
Thank you for the amazing poetry. I like the above lines a lot.
