Old Man Cantate

Old Man Cantate

A Poem by Onoma

an old man bent forward,
just above his cane--ambled
along a park trail.
paused to speak to a little boy
in a carriage, the enmeshment
of every songbird on planet earth
came out of his mouth.
the little boy laughed hysterically.
