...Answer the Door

A door opened today

I felt something strange

Coming from its way

I wanted to peek inside

To see what it might hold

But there is no looking

Only a leap so bold

That means letting go

That means change

I walked away though

I foolishly walked away

Doors don’t often open

I regret that I chose to stay
