Rebirth

It feels like I've been lost in a decade's sleep
Lying, crying, in a hopeless heap
Plagued by darkness, and constant pain
Lonely heart, full of disdain
Then came you, out of the blue
Showing me colors I never knew
Sprinkling sunshine on my guarded soul
Giving me back light, others had stole
Now, life is the way it's supposed to be
And I've packed away the melancholy. ~kjl
