If Only...

If only tonight I could soundly sleep
On a bed of stars and blankets of wishes
My dreams would take me to another place
And in the morning, when I wake
I'd open my eyes, and realize
The stars were gone, but my wishes came true
When next to me, was the lovely you. ~kjl
