A home especially prepared for two little boys
A home filled with love and double blessings
A home where two share in equal love with
Mum and Dad , two to cuddle two to snuggle
Double the love, Double the fun, Double the giggles
Double the grins, Double the trouble worth it though
Just to have those two wherever you go.
One story to tell and two to listen
When you ask one for a cuddle you get two
sweet little cuddles especially for you
Two little boys who learn to share their toys
They invent their own language over a sandwich
Two best friends born together, friends forever
Connected forever a magical bond a life together
through good times and bad , a precious gift
they both have .
Twins truly are unique and when they are identical it is a bit unnerving but incredibly fascinating. Being an uncle of two identical twins I can honestly say your words indeed reflect a truth about this rare phenomenon of humanity. They do have a language of their own unique to their relationship which also can encompass glances and looks. They almost always are able to finish each others thoughts and can rarely part their company. I found only 3 distinct ways to tell them apart. One is more sensitive than the other, one has a tiny mole on the back of his neck that the other doesn't, and one is left handed. Besides those traits they can usually fool people easily that are trying to figure out which is which. They are more than a handful and were worse in their teens, but they are good people. Thank you for sharing your sweet poem with us.

Twins are fascinating. When you spoke of your grandsons inventing their own language I felt a wave of sorrow toward you, a fear for your future. It is not rational, but you see I had first cousins who were identical twins, and one was killed. The surviving twin spoke so strongly of his loss, as if they had actually shared the same body, until it was ripped in two. He spoke of it being so difficult to do things alone. He became suicidal.

I sincerely hope your Cousin will be alright!
My mum was also a Twin non identical my mum died from Cancer when she was in her 50’s her surviving twin sister has always suffered depression even before this but does seem to cope quite well with it !
My Gran was also a non identical Twin she had a Twin Brother who died in childhood! My Gran did feel survivors guilt over the years she spoke fondly about him!
My gran also used to tell me stories about my mum and her sister swapping classes in high school so the could learn each other’s instruments etc… yes sure is interesting being a twin… and also very sad when the other twin is no longer around 😢

You have really triggered emotions with this poem. Thanks for sharing further, I really appreciated.. read moreYou have really triggered emotions with this poem. Thanks for sharing further, I really appreciated hearing about your family history.
Your poem is a beautiful ode to the joys of having two little boys in the home, and the special bond that they share with each other and with their parents. The use of repetition, such as "double the love" and "double the fun," creates a sense of both abundance and delight, while the imagery of cuddling and snuggling adds a touch of warmth and tenderness. Your words convey a sense of both playfulness and responsibility, and the final lines, "connected forever a magical bond a life together / through good times and bad, a precious gift they both have," are both heartwarming and inspiring. Your poem is a testament to the power of family and the importance of cherishing the moments we have with the ones we love.
I do understand the poetry dear Katrina. I have five grandchildren and I watch two of the boys daily.

I liked the above lines and thank you for sharing the excellent poetry my dear friend.

Adorable poem Katrina. Two for the price of one. What a gift, what a blessing. How old are they?My youngest grandson is Jahkai, he will be three in November. He can lift the doldrums on a dark day. Joyful poetry.
