Blind Man's World

Blind Man's World

A Poem by Katie

The illuminated moon begins to rise as the sun kisses the shadows goodbye
A man sits beside a tree, sighing at the beauty
His hands tremble with age; his eyes are murky and soupy
To himself he says "The sun will go up and down in perpetuum year after year
Meanwhile, I have witness to this for a mere seventy years, in which the end is near
I see this everyday, but the allure of this world escapes my mind,
The beauty is unfeasible, although I am blind"
