Poem about forbidden love

    DREAMS
Lost and empty my eye's are closed as i drift off to sleep alone.
In the black darkness i reach out afraid,
my racing heart thumping louder and louder, roaring like thunder.
I cover my ears to drown out the noise as it shakes my body with every deafening thump.
Suddenly a touch from an Angels hand, it awakens me from my fear.
Glowing you stand before me.
Wrapping me in your arms you hold me close, i feel safe and warm free from harm.
Your eye's sparkle intensely an eternity of stars could never eclipse this vision.
Shaking, i hold your perfect face in my trembling hands.
Your skin is soft with a welcoming warmth, mesmerized by your beauty my fingers touch
then trace every curve of your face then your lips.
My eye's are fixed on your smile as it intoxicates me.
Our hearts begin to race beating as one, it is a symphony of magical music.
Your breath is on my lips then they meet, i am yours.
Meeting lips see the world disappear as we melt into the clouds.
We have found our own heaven.
Arms entwined we lay together, holding each other nothing more.
No words are spoken there is only silence.
This feeling has no words only meaning, my world is here, my life is complete.
Suddenly, my eye's open to a piercing reality, i am awake.
I am alone, i am empty once more.
Lost and cold i hide from this world, eye's filling with tears.
My heart aches with pain,
hope is my only thought,
hope is my only saviour,
hope is for an eternal sleep.
For i can only DREAM.

Quick-Temperatured

scary the way you move

from hot to cold to cool

to frozen to warm to burning

to lukewarm to steamy

to cool again

because you’re obviously

too cool

too hot for the ice cube

too wet for the pool

you’re quick-temperatured.

and dimwitted

too smart for special education

too dumb to be special

too loose to be tight

too light to be fetal

a temperature surge

a walking cane

a rocking cradle

too old to be of service

to young to be the served

you’re quick-temperatured.

quick-temperatured

and it doesn’t get much worse

because you’re too bad to be forgotten

too good to be insane

and your too fresh to become rotten

too aggressive to be tame

too joyful to be enjoyable

too depressed for sentiments

too lovely to be friendly

too pretty to be sane

you’re quick-temperatured.

but your body is still burning

at thirty below zero

breaking all the rules

tempting flames

where icicles trickle

tempting hands

where hands and fingers do not touch

tempting mouths

where mouths do not speak

tempting dreams

where dreams do not think
