Beautiful CleansingA Poem by Kathy Van KurinBeautiful cleansing
How beautiful grief’s cleansing, Tears from deep sorrow. But where do these soul drops come, This great weeping? God you are more spacious then deep blue of sky’s expanse. A great storehouse is this Blanket cocoon of our
Great Creator’s earth. How beautiful; human depths filled with new
understanding. Will our own life song claim beautiful lessons
within our tears? Our tears are yours Holy God; We can only cry as little children - In times of helplessness, we are as little
lambs. You hold us and our
hearts. We are yours after
all; for nothing is hidden from your knowledge. As the psalmist says darkness and light are both
alike to thee. Psalm 139:12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from
thee; but the
night shineth as the day: the darkness
and the light are both alike to thee. You
are our place of rest and safety in every place of pain as well as joy.
