Bring Summer To My HeartA Poem by Kathy Van KurinStrength to go on. Hope to live found in creationBring
summer to my heart Late May
day fades into crystalline sky. With a
final smile she embraces June in pirouettes of bird song Early
sprouting leaves receive warming breezes song. Swallow tail
butterflies lift bright sun gold into their wings. Passing
season of ebbing spring maybe one more rain, Crops hope. Blackberry
blossoms will blush in dusted and pink rose promise. August
brings sweet gems waiting to become pies and jam. Oh the
blessings! Dark earth
turned and warmed in the summer incubation of life. Fresh flower
and vegetable seeds will be sprouting, lifting themselves to the sky. I wait for
this special occasion of life, one more reminder of seasons coming and going. Spring
barely gone, while summer is the promise for fruit born in this life. Christ
Jesus the Son who shines his special hope into the garden of my heart. Holy Spirit
bring your life giving power and rain to my weak dry places. That I may
spring forth to your glory. © 2026 Kathy Van KurinAuthor's Note
