Lost in the stars.

Life after love is the worst thing one can go through alone.

I could spend the rest of my life

searching the world

and climbing the stars

for just a taste

of what happiness could ever begin to feel like

without you.

But happiness is just a moment,

just temporary

and a life without you,

that pain

is as eternal and endless

as each star

we used to admire

together.

i wrote this a month or two ago, it was the first proper poem i wrote. what do you think of it?

Well I can say my first poem was no where near what this is. There's a maturity to this that made me do a double take when I saw that you were only 15. Hopefully there will be many other loves (or at least one) that make that experience a distant memory, but that will never make it insignificant. Loving like that is a powerful thing and sometimes losing it is an important step in our lives too.
