dedicated to my current struggle

 

 

I Hate You

 

hate is a strong word

or so they say

but who are they?

i hate you

for what you claimed to be

and i found to be untrue

i hate you

because you lack laughter and emotion

i want to share with you

but when i do you shut me out

or use what i share against me

i hate you

because you made me trust again

only to be reminded of why i don't

my mind screams "i told you so"

while my heart whispers "let it go"

i hate you

because i want you to leave

never come back

let me start again

to be the real me

and not this person

who hates

Painful. You give your heart and take a chance. You expressed this feeling so well, that thin line between love and hate.

I really enjoyed the burning, quick-paced style of the poem, like: "because you made me trust again only to be reminded of why i don't."
It was full of emotion, anger, and yes...hate. A powerful and often destructive emotion. You say this is a current struggle. Keep your chin up! Darkness fades away eventually, and out comes the sun. :-) And keep writing!

Good poem rant.
I like the verse presentation and the repetition of the words ,,I hate you,,.
The part with the mind and the heart is very good, and something found very often within us while hate rules.
