My Idea of a One Night Stand

One Night Stand is all it was

One wonderful night of bliss

 

You said you would never leave

But when i woke you were gone

 

One would think that i wouldnt

be affected this much.... But i am

 

All i can dream about is you

All i can think about is you

 

I still feel your hands on my body

I still feel your breath on my skin

 

I know i seem obsessed

Its true.. I might be

 

But all i can think of is that night

Of all that we shared

 

One Night Stand is all it was

One wonderful night of bliss

 

Author's Note

I have NEVER had a one night stand in my life just so you know and i never will. This is what it would be like to me if i really cared for the guy but never saw him again .

it takes a special person to be so intimate and not feel some connection...never it touch the tender side of us...
I am like you in that regard...I need a connection...I love to savor the scenery instead of focusing on the destination and then the door...
the more you make the trip, the more familiar you become with the terrain...
there are just too many wonderful feelings to not want to feel them again...like tomorrow, perhaps...lol
you did well to capture the feelings for not ever having "been there...done that..."

I agree with Bradley..you can have a consensual night..or one where you had difference ideas but they only want one thing..yours definitely falls into the latter..

to be honest, i had two phases of one night stands...one phase was "i'm getting back at that b*tch for cheating on me" phase...and the other phase was a one night stand and i didn't know it...the latter being what is explained here...so i know both sides of the coin...karma is a b*tch...nice write

A powerful way to talk about emotions is often to refer to something else that implies the emotion you want. For instance I could say "your tender nails traced my skin", and that would reflect a sense of trust between the two lovers.

This is a good start, however I feel you should give us a few more concrete images to toy with in our minds ;)
