Brave

Brave

A Poem by Bookworm1223

Brave, like the Sun,
Like the Moon and the stars.
I march through this battle,
Though it leaves me with scars.

Brave, to be brave,
A war on its own.
To push on through this night,
Even when I'm alone.

Brave and strong, I stand tall,
They say I don't fear.
But they don't know my story,
Their deaf ears, they don't hear.

Brave - not a word -
But a life in itself,
Sticks its neck out,
Does not live on a shelf.

Brave, my war paint,
Is the armor I wear,
It keeps my heart safe,
Protects it from tear.

Brave is my sword,
My buckler, my shield.
So in my war I'll press on,
My bravery to wield.
