There was a time
When your smile could light up my whole day
There was a time when we talked about kissing
And that you would kiss me
But it never happened
And that is fine
Because I am saving it for someone
Someone who loves me

You were to hasty... like a hit and run
Four glances and you said you were done
Now look at where this has gotten us
When you look at me, blue skies turn to gray
It rains inside my heart
And outside as well

You wish we could go back
But we can't

Yep, that makes me think back to high-school when hit and runs were rife for a lot of kids.
