So that's why I was so happy

And when you told me over the phone, that you stayed just for me...

Again you did a good job of writing about the emotional pitfalls of a relationship, sad that so many think of it as a game to be played. I give it four out of five Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
Your sentence structure is taking the flow from you poem, if it were my poem I would present it like this:

I cried that night
when you told me
you were going away...
So that's why I was so happy
And when you told me over the phone
that you stayed just for me...
You made my whole week
