Forgiven

Forgiven

A Poem by Tabitha Dings

A small silver band

Circular and brilliant

The word:

"Forgiven"

Etched deep in the metal

Its meaning I know

The word is on my heart

The word:

"Forgiven"

Etched deep within my soul

This little trinket

So unnoticeable

This ring

Forgotten

I've betrayed my own vow

Now I remember

How it feels to be loved

The word:

"Forgiven"

Is brought to new meaning

Two vows were broken

One to God, one to him

Praise be

To my Lord

They've both forgiven me

Very good poem. I like the whole concept and the way you worded things.
Keep it up! :D

About
I'm normally a rather depressed creature, but I find solace in my son and my writing. Though God has been there through much of my pain, I feel that he gave me my writing for further comfort. I do hop.. more..
