I was hurt.... it shows in my writing...

The look on your face,
Lets me know, how you're feeling
The tears in your eyes-
Shows me that you know that you're leaving

The sound of your voice,
Proves that you'll miss me
The silence between us,
Confirms what I've believed

You've made up your mind,
You've packed, your belongings
I made sure to remind,
You, to call me and tell me how you're feeling

The way you said my name,
I'd listen to it again, and again
You were the girl that I loved,
And my best friend

I said I would never,
Ever forget you
You looked up at me,
And said it's time for you to leave

I watched you get on,
Take off, and fly away
I knew I'd always remember you-
And I still do to this day,

I know that you're leaving,
Know that you'll be gone,
No more skiing,
Or waiting for you in your salon

But I can't help but feel,
That things will be okay,
I'll try to talk to you,
Everyday

What I heard in your voice,
Proved that you'd miss me
The look in your eyes,
Let's me know how you're feeling
When we said nothing at all,
I knew bad things were happening
But by your tears... by your tears,
I knew you'd remember it all
