My heavy heart is too much for you!

I wasn't looking but there you were,
a familiar face, smiling at me with stars shining through your eyes,
and I was mesmerised,
for I had only been scorched by the burning sun.

So I grabbed your hand the moment you leaned towards me,
and suddenly I thought I could run from these demons,
the ones outside and within;
but I feel too much and I can't make it stop,
my heavy heart is too much for you.
