are meant to be broken

Promises

i promise to be good

i promise to listen

i promise to love properly

i promise

...

i promise

i promise never to lie

i promise never to cry

i promise never to fill you with the hate you have now

i promise

therefore

i won't do any of these

but if promises weren't  meant to be broken

...

but they are

so i won't say anything more

because words are empty 

words are meaningless

to the way i feel

Great alliteration about promises, but I think there might be a typo in the line that reads "but if promises promises weren't meant to be broken" there is an extra letter "t" in there somewhere. Other than that its a wonderful poem, thanks for sharing it and have a great day.
