Lovers' Query

on the spot

i wait

for a second appeal

because maybe the first time

it was a mistake

maybe the first time

you didn't feel it

but i'm no fool

and yet

i am 

in so many

ways

its been so long

but i can still feel it

brewing inside my heart

like a lovers' query

pulling and tugging

tugging and pulling
