"Alright, Missy, come in, come in, have a seat!"
The office room was small and very neat, and very..... How do I say....... Pukey.
The walls were a sick shade of yellow and the light was so dim, you could hardly read a book under it. The light might as well be off.
This was because the building has almost no income and everything had to be rationed.

"Have a seat, Missy!"
I took a seat and stared at my counselor. He was browning, and balding.
Or was that the result of the light.
"So... Now what?"
He looked at me and smiled, shrugging his shoulders.
"What's wrong today, missy?"
Wrong? Nothing's wrong!
"Why, Me?"
I chuckled, holding my breath.
He looked at me and nodded.
He asked me something I couldn't hear.
"Why are you here?"
I froze, did I hear right?
Did he just say....
"Missy!"
He snapped at me. I was distracted.
"Why am I here?" I repeated slowly to myself. He nodded even slower.
I thought about that.
"Well...."
And I told him everything. About the coffee incident and the double talking the waitress and about how I think she probably hates me right about now. I told him about my home life and my school life and about how I have absolutely no friends.
I told him how I love to sing and I even sang a few notes to which he applauded me to.
At the end of it all, he told me to take a deep breath and close my eyes. To which I did, and he said to take a few more deep breath, to which I did.
"You are now clean and clear and rejuvenated. Congratulations, Missy, not many have joined you to this extent, and I am sorry for many of those who didn't. But I am extremely proud of you!"
I still had my eyes closed, so I just kept on nodding.
I heard him chuckle.
"You can open your eyes now, missy!"
I opened my eyes and thank goodness I did, because my appointment ended at 6:00, since I came in half an hour early.
The clock on the wall read 6:19.
"Whoops! I gotta go, my moms gonna be wanting me."
And I walked out the door of the building, laughing.
He thinks I have a mom...
Funny....
