Girls

Girls

A Poem by FaeryQueen
"

on the spot

"
high waist
and skinny jeans
the wind is blowing
against her hair
blowing it back
taking me back
to the first time
i remember when our eyes met
i asked her how she was
she looked up to the sky
and said she doesn't know yet
i asked her when she would
she looked at me and started to laugh
that wind
that blew against us that day
told me
something was up
so i took her by the hand
and ran
all the way to who knows where
and i stood with her
by the picket fence
it rained down hard
and we were drenched
i still remember her stench
though she smelled like rain
to me she smelled like a park bench

she held my hand
that day on the beach
i remember the wind pounded on us
the oceans roar
was our music
the memories
have been since faded
but i still hear her laugh
her echo
finds me whenever i am lonely

I found this really very interesting ... so beautifuly written .... 'imagery has been used so intensively that the reader gets into the scenario'
such a fine piece of poetry
