dawn in the city

dawn in the city

A Poem by FaeryQueen

gray soft glow
in the fertile sky
developing
developing
clouds
the sun
has almost come out
the rain will wash us anew
but if only the rain was pure
the rain will come
as the cars drive by
roads slicked with sleek shine
the birds
aroused
from their slumber
chirping
wake all!
the sun has cometh

Nicely written Khatoon....
the sun has cometh.

I feel energized with this poem, like I am waking from a fresh slumber, my mind at ease. Rain may not be pure chemically, but it certainly does freshen everything. I love this poem, its beautiful, a fast easy read. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful write and have a great day.

If only the rain was pure? It could be the angels crying. Valentine

Warm n refreshing imagery. Almost saw the orange sky turning blue n white and triggering the start of life's hustle bustles!
