Asylum Murmurs

====================

They drown me all

The sounds

And noises

They come close to my ears

In my honed corner I can smell their perspiration

There's nothing here

Nothing, but this buzzing noise inside my head

And everyone's constant screaming

But

No one

Is

Screaming

Only

I am.

Nothing

Is there

Just
The emptiness
And the vacant stares
From the vacant holes in the walls
I see the outside world
Shrouded in darkness
But
When in Rome
Do as the Romans say

Do as the Romans say

Do

As

The

Romans

I definitely dig the spacing in this poem; definitely captures the eeriness and intensity. I wish more people experimented with this type of spacing.
