I call this one

Breaks/

Because I’ve been breaking

A lot

You can’t understand

You won’t understand me

When I say

The sour taste is overwhelming my senses

When I say the poison is on the insides of my nose

When I scream out

“SHE HAS ME UNDER HER CONTROL!”

My eyes

Are closing

And I can’t find the reason why

My bones

Are weak

And bent

Out of shape

I twine my fingers around the concept of your existence

But my fingers just break

I cannot hold you anymore

I cannot hold me anymore

I can’t hold us

I feel like a rotted banana peel, an orange rind, a stale lemon curd and frozen rice are in me, trying to baptize this feeling I have

Everyone is wrong

When they say

They know

When they pull you over to them and they whisper in your ear, “I know what you’ve been through; I was little like you before.”

No.

You don’t

You only pretend you do

And when you do that

It hurts me

Because inside

I trusted you

And now you’re lying to me

You know nothing

Will never know anything

And still won’t learn

And I am afraid

Of everything you’re telling me now

More lies

For the weak and feeble minded

For me

 

If I mean something to you

Why won’t you prove it?

Why won’t you shout it to the sky?

This feeling

Feels real

And I love this feeling you’re giving me

I love the trouble

It makes me get into

Every crazy thing I have planned in my mind

Is for you

And every day

My heart beats

For the day I will see your face

And your grin

And your grin

Will stretch to the ends of the earth

When you see my face

And my heart will too
