I can hear… their talking; filling my ears with sponginess I never had to endure.

Their distant chatter seems to interrogate my beliefs.

I can hear… the uncertainty in my voice.

The way I always falter; splurging on the cost of flaw and imperfection.

I dove in too deep and know this; I have no regrets.

No regrets in saying what I did; that our love would outlast anyone else’s’.

That our love would be strong, caring, needed.

There’s something I wish I’d told you; something that sometimes creeps on me when I close my eyes in distracted fantasies, something I should’ve told you.
