Falling as I've Never Before

Falling as I've Never Before

It seems

As if my whole world has been torn a part

The reason being: something isn’t right

Something feels so drafty

Gaping

A hole in the bridge

The bridge representing something lenient, something solid, something most definitely absolute

Something not capable of falling; me

But I am falling

And I’m falling so gently

The wind blowing at me from underneath

Causing me to pull back my insecurities in a bundle and hug them

I am that bridge

That once had nothing wrong on it

That had no spots rotted away

I am that bridge; incapable of falling

I am that bridge; falling now
