I wish I could sleep and never wake up;
the burn is still there from when the sun still came up,
it creeps down the corridors and sticks to the sides,
I wonder how we never saw them coming from the left nor the right,
I’m still too weak to pick up the fight,
~
I’m gonna cry until my tears build walls and close around me,
I wish I could put the pain on a stove and put it on high heat,
or- or walk down a giant hallway with hot coals on my feet,
anything to stop the gaping wound that is my heart from beating,
everything’s all stuck together, when do things get better?
