faces

faces

A Poem by AKhaus

how many faces must I hide?
how many moments to blind?
passing through each rotating door never knowing, never ever knowing what will be waiting as I walk through.
separated and detached, the cold air slices into my mind.
she is here today and gone tomorrow, then she is angry and filled with sorrow.
she comes with a yellow glow, she leaves with a smile, it will only last a little while.
her monster appears and eats all the tears which her angel left in the dark.
cunning and wise her scholar tries to sympathize but then is easily removed by the demon hiding below her shoes.
she's not exactly there or anywhere, but is reimagined with the chimes of the clock.
