Dust and bones

Dust and bones

A Poem by AKhaus

I’ve been boiled down to bones.
My flesh has failed to weather this storm and I must go.
All I have left are the memories that no longer bring me joy but remind me of the cage I find myself currently, rotting.
The pain has fashioned itself on every cell and aches with every breath.
Soon I will be dust and the wind will blow me into that distance so close to the sun, it’s blinding.
