bisexuality

bisexuality

A Poem by I am renee

I told my parents for the first time that I am bisexual "my parents said since I'm experiencing puberty that it was just a phase"
Little do they know I've had two girlfriends in the past year that I've never told them about " my parents don't want me to be with a girl because they want grand kids one day"
I'M BISEXUAL
So basically I can relate to guys with guys and girls with girls
IF MY PARENTS DON'T LIKE IT OH WELL
My mom would slap me while my dad kicked me
I ended up in the hospital on more than one occasion "I'm here to tell people that being transgender, transsexual, gay, straight, lesbian, or bisexual is NOT A CRIME"
God still loves us
I'm bisexual and proud of who I am
Most of my friends are either gay or straight "AT LEAST I KNOW THEY EXCEPT ME"
I've been bullied many times for being who I am
Deep down I really don't give a f**k
My parents abused me the day they met my girlfriend for the first time.
"when we broke up later on in the year"
I went out with this boy who I thought would be the love of my life
But my parents told him that I was a lesbian "he beat me the next day"
"I'M BISEXUAL AND PROUD"
F**k the haters who don't except us
"were human beings that have been let down and hurt"
Being gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, straight, or transsexual is not a crime
Being bullied because of who we are as humans is a crime
And I've excepted me first before anyone else did
"I'm bisexual and proud"

This is a very strong and heartfelt poem. My heat goes out to you for what you what was done to you for just being you. This took a lot of courage. I hope others will read this and understand that it sometimes takes more courage and strength to be who you are then to pretend to be what others want us to be.
