James Lear

James Lear

A Poem by rebecca j rivera
"

this poem is dedicated to James Lear who lost his life in a submarine accident 22 yrs ago

"
There once was a man
so gentle and sweet,
He was the only one to
sleep at my feet,
He got on the floor
he wanted to play.
I wish that he was still
here on this day.
His heart was so gentle,
so caring, so fun.
He loved me even when
his days here were done.
He's gone home
to answer God's call.
To watch over K.C.
and the rest of us all!

There's great rhyme and flow here, conveying a message of surely-deserved honor and tribute to this loved one. Being retired Navy, I especially appreciate these words.
